Hot Geeks

Now, I don't normally watch much TV as I'd rather be reading a book, however, two shows have really caught my attention this season: The Big Bang Theory and Chuck.  The action and comedy involved in Chuck keeps you on your toes while busting your gut.  And TBBT?  You just laugh yourself silly until you don't think you can take any more... and then you laugh some more.

So, why am I blogging about this?  Because Chuck Bartowski is hot.  And I mean smokin'.  Oddly enough?  The more nerdly they make him look, the hotter he becomes.  But then, I guess there's just something about Zachary Levi that gets to me.  He has this great mouth, for one.  Oh, and those long, long legs of his?  The stuff erotic dreams are made of.  Well... or at least mine. 

Okay, so what about TBBT, you ask?  Well, you have Sheldon, the uber-geek, Raj the sterotypical geek, and Howard whom I can only describe as a Revenge of the Nerds kind of geek.  But then, then they throw Leonard at you.  I have no idea why he appeals to me, but he just does.  Maybe because he was the kind of guy I always befriended in high school?  I dunno.  All I know is those out-of-date glasses and that irrepressable grin do me in every time.  That and he's stuck somewhere between socially awkward geek and the boy next door. 

And now that you're all wondering just what I'm on today (iced mocha and chocolate chip cheesecake), why am I even bothering with this?  Well, I've noticed that the last few years there have been more and more 'hot geeks' emerging on TV.  But what about in romance?  Erotic romance?  You rarely see that sort of thing, although I do know that it's out there, you just have to look for it. And if you know where, let me know!  GEEKS UNITE!

For me, personally?  All of my heroes have a tendency towards the dorky side.  They tell bad jokes, are too technical on the simple things, have a fetish for trivia... And the reason behind that is simple - I love a goofy, dorky, nerdy, geeky man (Mr. Nigel Murray anyone?).  My husband is a great example of that - computer geek, video game addict, tennis player... I mean, really, does it get any geekier than that?  Is he a hunk?  Not by a long shot.  Alpha male?  Hell no, although he'd like you to think otherwise.  Do I love him and want to keep him?  Absolutely. 

You can have your arrogant, know-it-all alphas.  I'll take a laid-back, intelligent geek any day.  And that will probably get tomatoes thrown at me but well, it could be worse...  *G*

And do we think that's more than enough random babble for one day?  Yeah, probably.  Until next time then,
