Working on a Novel and Other News!

Despite being on the receiving end of an annoying bout of laryngitis, the world, to zero surprise, continues on! Some new developments:
- I received my first batch of edits for my coming novel, Coercion, from my editor! This is quite exciting and I can't wait to delve into them. I feel a lot has changed for me from the time I submitted the manuscript so I'll be viewing the story differently, and being an editor myself and working with talented authors has honed my own editing and writing skills so I can see my work more objectively. I look forward to tearing the story apart-at least a bit.
- This past weekend I chatted with the cover artist for Coercion. It was really interesting seeing her visual interpretation of the story, and made me think, "Wow, this is how some readers will picture the hero and heroine." Not that I'd go so far to call them "the hero" and "the heroine"-rather, "the foxy antagonist" and "the leading lady with a hard lesson in store." (The latter might be a bit verbose, but as for the former, I always look for an excuse to use the word "foxy.") Anyway! The artist was very sweet and I enjoy her work, so in short: I'm excited about the cover!
- Look for one of my short stories, The Girl in the Red Coat, to appear on the Web site, The Erotic Woman! More details to come.
- I will be reviewing the Blueberry Bliss for Oysters & Chocolate! More details (that may be TMI) to come on that as well.
- The author interviews are going swimmingly. Peruse them by visiting the Author Interviews links section down and to the right of this post. More interviews are on the horizon as well. If you're an author who'd like to participate in a brief interview or have some kind of promotional trade-off, that would be wonderful! You can e-mail me at luxzakari@gmail.com and we will work something out.
- Last but certainly not least, my e-story, Love on the Side of the NJ Turnpike, is still available via Paper Bag Press!
And now to daintily guzzle more throat-soothing tea,
-LZ.
